Dhow Marina Cruise

Last night we went on a sunset Dhow boat cruise through the Dubai Marina. The cruise started in the Dubai Marina (among the huge privately owned yachts) and went out into the ocean passing Jumeriah Beach Residences with views of the Palm Jumeriah. (The ocean was much rougher than we thought, but evidently Savannah doesn't get sea-sick like her Nana and Grammie as she was great!) It was very cool to see the lights of the Marina, the "ocean view" of our apartment building and the "ocean view" of our new running route. After living in Dubai for a year, it is very easy to settle into the "normal" routines and forget that we live in this amazing place...the views that this dhow cruise provided were a great reminder that we need to take advantage of our surroundings while we are here.
