Today we went to the Dubai Gold Souk. The souk is a traditional market located in Deira. This is in "old Dubai". The souk consists of over 300 retailers that deal mostly in gold jewelry. By some estimates, approximately 10 tons of gold are present at any given time in the souk. It is bordered to the north by the Dubai Fish and Vegetable Market.
We had fun window shopping while Grandma bartered for a few gifts to take back home.
