Disney World

We spent Monday and Tuesday morning at Disney World. We decided it would be a fun way to break up the trip a little bit...and Savannah loves Minnie Mouse! It also worked out great that we could meet our friends, Doug and Melissa there. Doug and Melissa are our good friends from Detroit. They were planning a trip to Disney World and we were able to coordinate our dates so that we could spend a day with them. They have two kids, Jackson is almost five and Kate is a few months older than Savannah, so they were perfect together. We spent Monday at the Magic Kingdom. We met Minnie and Mickey Mouse, watched the parade, rode lots of rides, and met Donald Duck. Savannah did good with the characters as long as she instigated the contact. She was not a fan if they reached for her first and in no way were they going to hold her. We also stuck with Minnie, Mickey and Donald as she really didn't recognize any of the other characters. Of course, Savannah decided there was far too much to see to sit in the stroller all day so Chris and I took turns either carrying her or pushing the empty stroller! After a full day at the park, we all headed over the Disney Boardwalk and the ESPN Zone for dinner, then back to the hotel. For Jackson, we all stayed in a pirate theme room. We had connecting rooms so it actually worked out perfect that we could put all three kids together in one room to sleep and then we could stay up a little longer for a few drinks and catching up.

This morning we all had breakfast together before Doug and Melissa headed off to the Animal Kingdom. We let Savannah swim in the hotel pool for a little bit before heading back to Ormond Beach. It was a  great day and half and I can't wait to take Savannah back when she is just a little older. This trip has also reconfirmed Savannah's love for Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Daisy, Pluto and Goofy!
