Originally, Chris was supposed to go to Shanghai, China for a business trip. We decided that this was a great opportunity for Savannah and I to tag along as well as extend the trip and make it a family sight-seeing vacation. Of course, as soon we made our (and paid for) our ticket and hotel arrangements the business trip was cancelled. We decided to still use the opportunity and go ahead anyway. We changed our flight arrangements and decided to stay in Beijing for the entire duration of our trip. The flight from Dubai to Beijing is 9 hours. The Dubai airport is one of the only airports in the world that "flies" 24 hours a day. The busiest time at the airport is in the middle of the night. On paper it a great idea to depart at 3:45 am in order to arrive at your destination earlier in the day...this is not always the case when traveling with a 15 month old! Nine hours and two melt downs later we have arrived in Beijing, China!
