Duck, Duck, Goose?

The hotel included daily "happy hour" in our room upgrade so after getting settled we checked out the club lounge. This proved to be great throughout our trip. A few drinks for Chris and I and plenty of watermelon for Savannah! We met a family from the UK at happy hour who was wrapping up their time in Beijing. They gave us many great tips about where to go and how to get there. They mentioned a restaurant within walking distance that was supposed to be pretty good so we headed over for dinner.

One of the most famous dishes in the Chinese cuisine in Peking Duck. It was on the menu so Chris ordered it...but the restaurant was out of duck so they recommended the goose instead, claiming it was just like duck. Chris took two bites of the goose, I finished my safe order of noodles with vegetables and we headed back to the hotel where Chris ordered a club sandwich. Evidently, goose is not just like duck.

We had also been told that the Chinese people would love Savannah...we have experienced a little of this in Dubai but we had no idea. Throughout our trip, people flocked to Savannah, starting with our waiter and other customers in the restaurant tonight. They want to look at her, hold her, talk to her and take their picture with her.
